This couple from the USA wanted to create a little piece of paradise in Newstead, close to Hamilton. Because they were exposed to modern window technology in America, all of their exterior doors and windows were provided by ThermaScreen Windows and Doors.

This adorable couple was looking to replace their single-pane aluminium and wooden joinery to improve the insulation and energy efficiency of their 1960's home. Prior to installation, they found their home to be cold, damp and drafty. Now with uPVC windows provided by ThermaScreen they have enjoyed 2 warm and dry winters, and a summer without flies in the house.

"We are very impressed with how the house feels much cooler inside on a hot (30 degrees +) day outside when the windows have been shut all day. Clearly the reflective heat glass works! Hopefully the same will apply in winter and keep more heat in… unlike our old single glazed windows. Sound proofing is vastly better too. We barely notice large tractors and trucks passing in the night now in this rural area."
